Homegrown Companies is hiring a Mobile Mechanic Technician to assist in the repair and diagnosis of farm machinery under the direction of the Repair and Maintenance Supervisor. Repairs may be required at different farm locations as needed.

The role involves troubleshooting tractors and related equipment, performing routine maintenance, and creating/maintaining data records. A bilingual English/Spanish speaker with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 4-7 years of mechanical experience required.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
• Bilingual – English/Spanish is preferred.
• Willingness to travel to farm locations and drive long distances.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues on farm machinery such as tractors and harvesters.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on farm equipment as directed.
• Identify potential preventive maintenance and report findings.
• Create and maintain service records and time sheets.
• Assist in coordinating parts purchases and inventory.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and comply with PPE guidelines.
• Communicate professionally with vendors for parts and supplies.

The role of the Mobile Mechanic Technician is to assist in the repair and diagnoses of farm machinery at the direction of the Repair and Maintenance Supervisor. Repairs could be needed at different farm locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, and diagnose issues on farm machinery, such as tractors, vehicles, harvesters, etc.


• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on all farm-related equipment as instructed and or needed.


• Identify potential preventive maintenance processes and report findings to Supervisor.


• Create and maintain relevant data information records for all farm equipment.


• Proficient and knowledgeable in the use of hand tools and power tools required to complete all tasks assigned.


• Complete required paperwork, such as daily reports, service/repair records, invoices, and time records in a timely manner.


• Assist in identifying purchasing trends and track inventory for normal service parts, coordinate regular ordering schedule to ensure shop has adequate parts needed on regular basis, with Supervisor approval.


• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.


• Follow all safety and PPE guidelines


• Responsible for the proper care and security of all tools used and or provided.


• The ability to professionally communicate with vendors to order and obtain parts and supplies as directed or needed.
