Flory Line Construction, LLC is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to diagnose, repair, and overhaul heavy equipment and vehicles used in utility line construction. The role involves frequent field work and travel between sites to ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently.
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma, 3+ years with heavy equipment or diesel repair, and a valid CDL Class A with air brake endorsement (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
Position Overview: Under departmental direction, conducts maintenance, repair, and overhaul of machinery and vehicles at Flory Line Construction. This position will diagnose mechanical problems, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure that all equipment is in optimal working condition; performs related work as required. This position will require frequent travel between sites and will be required to work in the field most of the time.
Instructions are somewhat general; many aspects of the work are covered specifically but must use own judgment in some cases.
Work is performed indoors and outdoors and will involve sitting, intermittent standing, walking, stooping; bending, climbing; reaching, gripping, grasping; must lift objects up to 50 pounds; will be exposed to machines and their moving parts as well as environmental elements.
Normal mechanic equipment, battery and other energized tools, hand tools, diagnostic equipment, lifts; normal office equipment, (computer, iPad, printer, telephone, camera, scanner, copy machine, etc.). Must operate vehicle/equipment as a requirement of the position as necessary.
Frequent internal contacts requiring tact and diplomacy.
