Job summary

Real Alloy in Chicago Heights is seeking a Mobile Mechanic to install, repair, construct, test and service equipment. You will work on mobile equipment with internal combustion engines, using pneumatic and electrical hand tools, and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems in a heavy industry setting.

OSHA safety requirements and lockout/tagout procedures are part of daily work. The position offers a starting wage of $31.78 per hour on day shift plus a full benefits package and career growth

Qualifications

• Experience in heavy equipment repair and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and safety standards.
• Familiarity with OSHA requirements for mobile equipment.

Responsibilities

• Learn safety and quality procedures.
• Build skills related to processing and melting aluminum scrap, then transferring molten aluminum into molds.
• Repair and maintain mobile equipment; diagnose and troubleshoot issues.
• Operate tools and perform preventive maintenance.

As our new Mobile Mechanic for Real Alloy, Chicago Heights facility, you will install, repair, construct, test, adjust, and service equipment. Our Mobile Mechanic's repair and maintenance of all mobile equipment with internal combustion engines of all types Employees must be able to work from elevated levels, operating mobile equipment, pneumatic and electrical hand tools and jacks. In this role, the Mobile Mechanic must have working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, equipment braking systems and have knowledge of the OSHA requirements for mobile equipment and safety devices.
