Job summary

Genesee County, Inc. is seeking a transportation-aware employee to perform meal transporting and service-oriented duties for Senior Mobile Meal recipients.

The role works under the supervision of the Nutrition Services Manager and the Chef/Production Manager, handling related duties as required. Applicant must possess a valid Michigan driver's license, use a vehicle during work hours, and provide automobile insurance.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow written and oral directions.

• Must possess valid Michigan's driver license.

• Experience as a driver preferred.

Job Summary

Performs meal transporting and service-oriented duties to specifically assigned Senior Mobile Meal recipients; includes the depositing of program income to administrative offices; works under the direction of the Chef/ Production Manager and the supervision of the Nutrition Services Manager; performs related duties as required.

Essential Job Duties and Functions

• Loads portable ovens and other food containers with senior dinners in preparation for transporting to Senior Mobile Meal recipients;
• Transports senior dinners as designated by individualized routing schedules;
• Returns portable ovens to the central kitchen;
• Receives and deposits program income in the administrative offices;
• Maintains daily mileage log;
• Attends staff meetings and other meetings which apply to the improvement of delivery of services as required.
