Accumar Marine seeks an experienced marine technician to diagnose and repair integrated mechanical, plumbing, hydraulic, electrical, and support systems aboard power and sailing vessels. You will troubleshoot freshwater and bilge systems, service hydraulic steering, inspect engine-room components, and install pumps, valves, and fittings.

The role requires safe work aboard vessels, ability to work across Southwest Florida, and clear, accurate documentation.

Qualifications

  • Experience in marine service or related mechanical trade.
  • ABYC certification preferred; Accumar pays for approved technical courses and certifications.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for mobile service across Southwest Florida.
  • Ability to work safely aboard customer vessels, including confined machinery spaces when required.
  • Professional communication, accurate job notes, and respect for customer vessels and marina rules.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot freshwater, raw-water, bilge, sanitation, pump, and water-heating systems.
  • Service hydraulic steering, trim tabs, stabilizers, and related controls within demonstrated competency.
  • Inspect engine-room systems, identify root causes, and prepare practical repair recommendations.
  • Install or replace pumps, valves, hoses, fittings, seacocks, and other marine-system components.
  • Use schematics, service manuals, and test instruments rather than parts-swapping diagnosis.
