Job Summary: The Mobile Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the fleet for clients and to handle service calls and preventative maintenance at customer designated locations. Provide service to customers, maintaining exceptional customer service. Duties can include cleaning, maintenance, visual inspection, and removal of parts and attachments, installation with the help of proper manuals, report writing, disassembly, assembly, parts re-use evaluation and re-conditioning. Conduct diesel equipment repairs and preventive maintenance requirements, correct vehicle deficiencies, adjust and alignments. Must be capable of performing most of the required service and repairs on a variety of trucks and equipment while operating out of a mobile vehicle. Works with the assistance of diagnostic software when performing highly technical or intricate diagnostic type repairs.

· Manage mobile service vehicle maintaining working parts inventory on field truck and re-stocking the truck as needed. Truck must be stocked to handle normal work requests.
· Perform vehicle maintenance from a mobile vehicle at customer designated locations, determining vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests, identifying worn and damaged parts, focusing on safety, quality, and customer up time.
· Complete complex and detailed mechanical inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs with minimal supervision correcting vehicle deficiencies and adjusting and alignments as needed.

Essential Functions:
· Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT's Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission.
· Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment at customer designated locations. May include preventative maintenance, trouble shooting, electrical and diagnostic services.
· Handle basic maintenance of the customer vehicle including filling tank with fuel, checking oil, keeping it clean, and making sure required inspections are performed and documented as assigned.
· Manage inventory control on the service truck and for keeping the vehicle properly stocked.
· Maintain availability for after-hours service calls and be available for an open work schedule.
· Maintain and inventory the supplied tools for the work required in maintaining heavy duty trucks and associated equipment.
· Review job order and observe and listen to vehicle in operation to determine malfunction and to plan work procedures.
· Utilize various diagnostic equipment to determine malfunction and utilize available technical information to determine and perform correct repair procedure.
· Perform all necessary diagnostic and documentation functions on the company computer system.
· Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks, and adjusts.
· Lubricate moving parts and drives repaired vehicle to verify conformance to specifications.
· Document and submit necessary paperwork or enter mobile service program as work performed in an accurate and timely manner.
· Respond to customer inquiries regarding the work. Foster positive customer relations.
· Advise customer and/or service writer of any repairs or services which should be performed within the next three months.
· Attend training classes as required. Study shop/service materials and manuals as they relate to your job.
· Responsible for time management of his/her own schedule and the scheduling relative to field service customers.
· Properly monitor and report time with customers while out of the shop environment.
· Submit completed manual R/O daily for each job started/completed.
· Performs other duties assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Necessary tools to perform job responsibilities.
· Mechanical aptitude and technical ability are a must.
· Ability to work and learn independently.
· Business owner mentality and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
· Strong written/ verbal communication skills required.
· Ability to use various windows-based computer software. Experience with engine software a plus.
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or GED is required. Combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered.
· Related technical school training preferred.
· Three to five years of commercial truck technical service experience.

Physical Requirements:
· Employee is required to stand, walk, kneel, squat, crawl, bend, and twist.
· Employee may have to climb and/or lift to and over 80 lbs frequently.
· Visual requirements are constant. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
· Duties are performed throughout the inside and outside of the building(s) and customer locations.
· Employee is exposed to dirt, dust, heat, cold, noise and vibration, fumes and odors, wetness, and humidity, and sometimes darkness.
· Due to the nature of the environment, employee is exposed to potential mechanical, chemical, electrical and fire hazards on a regular basis.
