Job summary

DSV Road Transport seeks a Maintenance Support Technician to provide on-site, mobile maintenance and technical support across assigned regions. This traveling, field-based role combines diesel/Trailer repair knowledge with strong communication and customer service to liaise between drivers, vendors, and internal teams.

DSV provides a company truck, tools, PPE, and required technology to support mobile operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Class 8 truck and trailer mechanical experience or working knowledge required.
• Valid Class A CDL (CDL-A) required.
• Must have and maintain a valid in-state drivers license with an acceptable driving record.
• 2+ years of diesel, tractor/trailer, or fleet maintenance experience.
• Ability to learn and utilize maintenance management and service database systems.
• Basic understanding of DOT regulations and FMCSA compliance standards.
• Prior field service or mobile maintenance experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform light repair and maintenance on Class 8 tractors and trailers.
• Respond to field service needs and driver breakdowns within assigned region.
• Conduct equipment condition assessments and determine repair paths.
• Write repair orders and maintain tools and equipment.
• Communicate with drivers, vendors, dispatch, and internal teams.
• Travel extensively to support fleet operations across regions.
