What You'll Do:

1. Promote Safety. Take an active role in prioritizing safety throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards.
2. Repair and Maintain Mobile Equipment. Service, repair, adjust, and test all mobile equipment that operates throughout the plant to maximize performance and limit downtime.
3. Inspect Equipment and Material. Inspect all mobile equipment to identify and troubleshoot errors. Perform repairs as necessary.
4. Handle and Move Objects. Handle, install, position, and move parts, materials, and tools safely throughout the shop and plant.
5. Document and Record Information. Complete accurate documentation daily and monthly regarding all mobile equipment. Enter and maintain service reports in written or electronic form.
6. Operate Equipment. Assist in driving heavy equipment and vehicles to ensure efficient production.
7. Perform General Physical Activities. Engage in physical activities involving climbing, lifting, walking, and handling materials.
8. Additional Responsibilities. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Skills You'll Need:

• Experience. Previous experience with diesel or heavy construction equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of Best Practices. Knowledge of servicing heavy construction equipment preferred.
• Flexibility. Willing to work overtime, extended hours, outdoors in all weather, and tolerate loud noises.
• Mechanical Skills. Some knowledge of industrial tools and maintenance required.
