Job description

Join to apply for the Mobile Lube Technician role at Guardian Fleet Services.

The Mobile Lube Tech will travel from location to location in and around the Tampa area 5 Days a week and every other Saturday. They will be responsible for greasing all units and checking tire tread depth and air up all tires as needed. Will work in shop possibly two days a week. A company service truck will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Draining the oil from a vehicle and replacing it to manufacturer specifications.
• Topping off other fluids, including brake, power steering and windshield wiper fluid.
• Inspecting the engine block and underbody for leaks and potential issues.
• Checking tire pressure and filling tires with air as needed to manufacturer specifications.
• Replace car parts such as air filters, oil filters, windshield wipers and batteries.
• Lubricating moving parts as necessary, including those in the engine and wheel bearings and ensuring the engine is kept clean throughout servicing.
• Creating detailed service reports.

Qualifications

• An aptitude for mechanical diagnosis and repair.
• Demonstrated experience with servicing vehicles.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Time management and organizational skills as well as hand-eye coordination.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to read and follow complex directions in manuals.

Physical Requirements

The physical ability to perform all tasks related to the position of Lube Technician, such as bending and reaching, standing for long periods of time and lifting over 60 pounds.
