Job summary

SunSource is seeking a MEC technician to assemble and test hydraulic systems such as valves, pumps, motors, manifolds, and related components. The role involves following MEC specifications, working with engineers, and ensuring quality in a fast-paced shop environment.

The ideal candidate has 1–5 years in fluid power, an associate degree or equivalent, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs while standing most of the day. E-Verify participation applies to this employer.

Qualifications

• 2-year fluid power associate degree or equivalent preferred.
• 1–5 years in fluid power assembly or related shop experience.
• Ability to interpret BOMs and blueprints.
• Must lift up to 75 lbs and stand 95–100% of the shift.
• Experience testing and troubleshooting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify parts to BOM and work order to prepare for assembly.
• Inspect parts and components for quality and conformance.
• Assemble units according to MEC specifications and test procedures.
• Adjust components and set cartridges in the test room per instructions.
• Test assembled systems for quality, quantity, and time; paint completed units.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work area; support continuous improvement.
