Job summary

The Systems Group is seeking an energetic Mobile HVAC Supervisor based in Blytheville, AR to oversee daily field operations, mentor HVAC technicians, and ensure safe, compliant maintenance of rooftop and ventilation systems across site operations. You will coordinate with electricians and outside contractors while maintaining PM schedules and accurate logs.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of HVAC/R experience including 2+ years in a lead or supervisory role.
  • EPA Section 608 Universal Certification.
  • Experience in industrial/heavy manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Working knowledge of industrial ventilation, makeup air systems, and process cooling.
  • Proficiency with CMMS software and basic administrative reporting.
  • Strong understanding of NEC, OSHA, and local codes.
  • Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Assign, schedule, and supervise daily work for HVAC technicians across shifts.
  • Prioritize work orders based on production impact and safety risk.
  • Train and mentor technicians on system troubleshooting and ventilation equipment.
  • Respond to emergency or escalated service calls affecting mill operations.
  • Maintain daily work orders, time sheets, and logs in the CMMS.
  • Track parts usage, submit requisitions, and manage vendor invoices.
  • Maintain PM schedules and documentation.
  • Prepare shift turnover, downtime, and maintenance summaries for management.
  • Ensure compliance documentation including EPA 608 records and permits.

Job description

The Systems Group is looking for an energetic individual to be our next Mobile HVAC Supervisor based in Blytheville, AR. We are looking for someone to help with the day-to-day issues that pop up but to also be part of the big picture and contribute to the long-term strategy of our operations across the country. Job Responsibilities:
Crew & Field Supervision
  • Assign, schedule, and supervise daily work for Systems Cool Air Solutions HVAC technicians and helpers across shifts
  • Prioritize work orders based on production impact, safety risk, and equipment criticality
  • Perform field inspections to verify quality of completed work and adherence to safety procedures
  • Train and mentor technicians on system troubleshooting, refrigerant handling, and industrial ventilation equipment
  • Respond personally to emergency or escalated service calls, especially those affecting mill operations, control rooms, or critical process cooling
  • Complete and maintain daily work orders, time sheets, and job logs in the CMMS (computerized maintenance management system)
  • Track parts and materials usage, submit purchase requisitions, and manage vendor invoices
  • Maintain preventive maintenance (PM) schedules and ensure PM completion documentation is accurate and up to date
  • Prepare shift-turnover reports, downtime reports, and monthly maintenance summaries for the General Manager and Sales Director
  • Ensure compliance documentation is current, including EPA Section 608 refrigerant handling records, confined space permits, and hot work permits where applicable
  • Maintain OSHA-required safety logs and incident reports related to HVAC work
Technical Oversight
  • Oversee maintenance and repair of rooftop units, makeup air units, industrial exhaust/ventilation systems, dust collection tie-ins, process cooling systems, control room HVAC, and comfort heating/cooling for office and shop areas
  • Support systems tied to furnace areas, mill environments, and other high-heat zones common in steel operations
  • Coordinate with electricians, millwrights, and outside contractors on integrated repairs
  • Manage spare parts inventory for critical HVAC components to reduce downtime
  • Ensure work complies with local codes, refrigerant regulations, and Systems Cool Air Solutions safety standards
Safety & Compliance
  • Enforce lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space, working-at-heights, and PPE requirements for all HVAC work
  • Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for the crew
  • Investigate equipment failures and near-misses; recommend corrective actions

Qualifications:
Required
  • 5+ years of HVAC/R experience, including 2+ years in a lead or supervisory role
  • EPA Section 608 Universal Certification
  • Experience in an industrial or heavy manufacturing environment (steel, foundry, or similar preferred)
  • Working knowledge of industrial ventilation, makeup air systems, and process cooling
  • Proficiency with CMMS software, Microsoft Office/Excel, and basic administrative reporting
  • Strong understanding of NEC, OSHA, and local mechanical codes
  • Valid driver's license
Preferred
  • Journeyman HVAC license or equivalent
  • Experience with high-temperature/high-dust environments typical of steel mills
  • Familiarity with PLC-controlled HVAC systems or building automation systems (BAS)
  • Welding, sheet metal, or millwright cross-training
