Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice seeks compassionate veterinarians to provide in-home end-of-life care across Charlotte and surrounding communities. You’ll travel to pet families, practice independently on a flexible 2–5 day schedule, and be part of a supportive team that prioritizes mentorship and well-being.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS) required.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License.
• Weekends on your terms with flexible weekend days.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 90 lbs with assistance.
• License verification, a background check and driving record review prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate in-home hospice and end-of-life care to pets and families.
• Practice medicine independently on the road while receiving team support.
• Engage with families on difficult conversations with kindness and dignity.
• Participate in onboarding, mentorship, and ongoing professional development.
