Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice & In-Home Euthanasia in California is seeking a Compassionate Veterinarian to practice hospice and in-home euthanasia. You’ll work on the road, visiting families in Fremont, Union City, Newark, San Jose and Tri-Valley, providing care in a home setting with time to listen and answer questions.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS) is required.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License is required.
• Weekends on Your Terms. Instead of a fixed rotation, you’ll choose the 4 weekend days per month that fit your life.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Unassisted and up to 90 lbs with Assistance.
• All candidates will complete license verification, a background check, and a driving record review before their start date.

Responsibilities

• Practice independently on the road, delivering hospice and in-home euthanasia care.
• Provide end-of-life care in patients' homes with empathy and dignity.
• Engage with grieving families, answering questions with kindness.
