Job summary

Conco Companies, a CRH company, is seeking a hands-on Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician to inspect, repair, and optimize a fleet of ready-mix and construction equipment. You’ll diagnose issues, dismantle and rebuild components, and ensure safety and reliability across operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–6 months hands-on experience with heavy equipment maintenance or equivalent.
• ASE certifications and a valid CDL (A or B) preferred; clean driving record is a plus.
• Have basic hand tools up to 1/2 inch.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on Ready Mix Trucks, End Dump Trucks, Tractors, Trailers, and heavy equipment.
• Diagnose complex mechanical issues and deliver effective solutions for reliability and performance.
• Dismantle, rebuild, and maintain equipment using advanced tools and techniques.
• Inspect parts for wear, using micrometers and gauges; replace/overhaul engines, transmissions, and hydraulics.
• Test and tune equipment to ensure efficiency and safety; demonstrate welding to restore components.
• Lead and mentor teammates; document time and parts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Suggest improvements or redesigns to address technical challenges; maintain a safe workspace.
• Collaborate with maintenance staff to keep the fleet ready; travel and occasional night/weekend work as needed.
