Job summary

Alta Equipment Group is seeking a Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician to service the Central Mass area (Worcester, Leominster, Fitchburg) from the Concord, NH location. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment including JCB, Avant, Toro, and Vibroscreen, with company truck and tools provided.

Qualifications

• Three years of previous heavy equipment repair experience is required.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of engine, power train, hydraulics and electrical.
• Possess own tools.
• A positive attitude and high energy.
• Computer programs - Microsoft Outlook, Volvo VCADS.
• Language Skills - Intermediate: read and interpret documents; write routine reports; speak before groups.
• Mathematical Skills - Basic: money, weight, volume and distance calculations.
• Reasoning Ability - Intermediate: apply common sense and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Complete inspections.
• Power washing and parts cleaning.
• Removal and installation of parts.
• Implementation of optional accessories.
• Maintenance.
• On the road doing basic diagnosis and troubleshooting.
• Testing.
• General repairs on the road.
• Drive company truck to different customer locations.
• Upkeep of the service truck.
• Inventory of onboard parts.
• Incorporate Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Consistent, regular attendance and ready for work at start time.
