Job summary

CRH Americas is seeking a skilled heavy equipment technician in Grand Junction to repair and maintain construction equipment, trucks, batch plants, paving machines and related machinery. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, order parts, and document repairs.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2–5 years of related experience, safety compliance, and the ability to travel to various job sites. Wage range is $25 to $30 per hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• HD diploma or GED required; safety rules and procedures must be followed.
• 2–5 years of related experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots problems and performs durable repairs.
• Dismantles devices to access defective parts using hoists and hand tools.
• Maintains and repairs heavy equipment, trucks, shop, and non-mobile equipment.
• Performs routine maintenance such as oil changes, fluid checks, and filter changes.
• Repairs electrical and hydraulic systems, engines, transmissions, and drive trains.
• Orders parts and maintains invoices; uses CMMS/Hexagon/Workforce to document repairs.
• Inspects and tests equipment after repairs; ensures safety and reliability.
• Maintains organized paperwork including DVIR sign-offs and inspections.
