Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Mobile Equipment Mechanic to perform mechanical repairs on diesel-powered mobile equipment, troubleshoot and repair heavy equipment, perform rebuilds, remove/install parts, and conduct preventative maintenance.

The role requires at least 5 years of experience with CAT, Komatsu, and Volvo quarry/construction equipment, a HS diploma or GED, and a valid US driver's license; CDL and trade-school certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Valid US driver’s license.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with CAT, Komatsu & Volvo quarry/construction equipment/diesel engine repairs.
• Certification from a trade school is preferred.
• Previous mining experience is a plus.
• Bilingual is a plus.
• A CDL and a clean driving record is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant mobile equipment including CAT, Komatsu & Volvo quarry/construction equipment/diesel engines.
• Weld, cut and perform minor fabrication on plant or mobile equipment.
• Mechanically inclined on a wide variety of hand tools and power tools.
• Other duties as assigned.
