Job summary

D2B Groups LLC is seeking a Heavy Equipment Field Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment at client sites across Rhode Island. You will inspect equipment, replace worn parts, and ensure minimal downtime while prioritizing safety.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the Service Supervisor, testing machines after service, and mentoring junior technicians on large repair projects. A valid field-service background and strong customer-facing skills are required.

Qualifications

• Experience working on heavy equipment or generators preferred.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical and hydraulic equipment.
• 2+ years of field service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose malfunctions and replace parts; install new assemblies and adjust controls.
• Provide tools and arrange facilities to perform repair work at customer premises.
• Inspect, operate and test machines at delivery and during service intervals to ensure proper functioning.
• Report customer details and job metrics for accurate billing and documentation.
• Train new technicians and supervise teams on large repairs or assemblies.
• Maintain neat appearance and keep the service truck clean and organized.
• Collaborate with Engineering/Manufacturing to resolve recurring or complex problems.
