Job summary

FleetPride in Inland Empire, CA is seeking a Mobile Service Technician to perform on-site repairs and maintenance on heavy‑duty trucks and trailers at customer locations. You will diagnose issues, replace parts, and document work to meet company standards.

Role requires safety compliance, DOT knowledge, and strong communication with customers and branches; CDL preferred and ability to work in varying outdoor conditions is important.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in heavy‑duty truck and trailer maintenance, diagnostics, and repair.
• Knowledge of brake systems, suspensions, drivetrains, electrical systems, and basic hydraulics.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and service documentation safely and effectively.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL preferred.
• Understanding of safety practices, DOT regulations and industry standards.
• Effective communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
• Ability to work independently in the field and manage multiple service calls.
• High school diploma or equivalent; diesel technology training is a plus.
• Comfort with digital tools and service software for work orders and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform mobile repair and maintenance services on heavy‑duty trucks and trailers at customer locations.
• Diagnose issues, troubleshoot, and replace parts as needed.
• Inspect vehicles for safety and performance issues and document all work performed.
• Explain findings to customers and coordinate with branch and service center teams.
• Maintain service vehicles and follow safety procedures in varying outdoor conditions.
