Job summary

The Ohio Department of Health is looking for a part-time temporary Equipment Operator 1 to operate various emergency response equipment including the Mobile Health Unit. Responsibilities include driving to health departments, setup and inspections, and record keeping.

Candidates should have formal education in arithmetic, at least 3 months of experience operating motorized equipment, and a valid commercial driver’s license. This hourly position offers compensation of $20.85.

Work may involve irregular hours and all weather conditions.

Qualifications

  • Must possess valid commercial driver's license.
  • Demonstrated experience or training in operating motorized equipment for at least 3 months.
  • Basic education in arithmetic and common English vocabulary required.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Mobile Health Unit to city and county health departments.
  • Inspect property before and after drives and handle related paperwork.
  • Complete safety inspections and educate users on the unit's operation.
  • Assist with setup and breakdown of equipment at events.
  • Maintain records of usage and coordinate repairs.
