Job summary

Heartland Health Services seeks a Medical Services Driver to safely operate and transport the Mobile Health Unit to community and rural locations, while providing timely courier services between HHS sites, storage facilities, vendors, and partners.

Four days per week, the Driver transports the mobile unit, assists with site setup, and maintains a visible security presence at events. One day weekly covers courier duties, light maintenance, and deliveries.

Qualifications

• Illinois class C license is required.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills.
• Ability to organize tasks and time to ensure timely completion of all projects.
• The ability to collaborate with physicians, staff and professionals in multiple settings and locations.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Own vehicle, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary driver of the mobile unit and assist with delivery of patient care services and management, and navigation of participants on and off mobile unit.
• Conduct safety inspections of the company vehicle prior to and after utilizing.
• Address and document the vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• Maintain a clean vehicle both internal and external.
• Proactively map out driving routes to determine the most efficient routing.
• Set up the mobile unit for providers and clinical staff, assisting stock supplies and equipment.
