Job summary

Florida Department of Health in Duval County is seeking a mobile unit driver to support HIV/STD services, rapid testing, and linkage to care. You will educate clients, perform HIV testing, document in HMS, and coordinate with case managers across clinics and community settings.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, 1 year of field experience, and availability Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm. Travel within the community is expected as part of outreach.

Qualifications

• A current, valid, and unrestricted driver’s license.
• At least 1 year of HIV/STD field experience with outreach, testing, and education.
• Must be available to work Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
• Complete 500/501 HIV Counseling and Testing class within 3 months of hire.
• Completion of STD PASSPORT training class within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to all clients in person or walk-in.
• Provide education on infections spread through sexual contact and on all DOH-Duval services.
• Conduct rapid HIV tests and complete pre/post counseling.
• Register clients into HMS and document eligibility criteria.
• Travel to meet clients within the community and assist in outreach activities.
• Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
