Job summary

University at Buffalo is seeking a Community Engagement Coordinator to implement community engagement activities and coordinate Health On Wheels, a trio of mobile health units, supporting the School of Public Health and Health Professions’ mission to improve population health.

The role works with leadership, faculty, students, staff and external partners to strengthen the school’s community presence and impact.

Responsibilities

Assist with the planning, coordination, and evaluation of community outreach initiatives.
Coordinate activities with university partners, students, alumni and community members to enhance visibility of the school
Collaborate with the SPHHP Health On Wheels team on scheduling, staffing, inventory management and compliance with university procedures.
Drive to scheduled events; set up and break down units at event sites; maintain cleanliness of units and coordinate maintenance.
Track and monitor data to evaluate effectiveness, inform future planning and support accreditation requirements.
Support grant administration, including managing financial tracking and contributing to grant reporting requirements.
Supervise and train students, part-time staff, and volunteers in community engagement activities.
Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in alignment with health standards.
Manage relationships with community partners, identify new opportunities, and support ongoing collaboration.
Perform additional duties to support community engagement and Health On Wheels operations.
