Job summary

GROOMBAR Mobile Grooming — Chicago is seeking a passionate mobile dog and cat groomer to bring spa-quality grooming to clients at their doorstep. This full-time role (40 hours per week, 4 days) offers guaranteed pay while you build your client base and enjoy the flexibility of working on the road.

You will bathe, brush, clip and style pets, assess coat health, educate owners, and maintain a clean mobile station.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of professional dog grooming experience.
• Driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to handle dogs and cats safely and humanely.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of breed-specific grooming needs.
• Physical strength to lift and maneuver pets and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Groom pets according to breed standards and client preferences.
• Drive and operate the mobile grooming van; manage routes and scheduling.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary mobile grooming space.
• Educate owners on grooming care and coat maintenance.

Love animals and have a knack for making them look their best? We're seeking a talented Mobile Dog or Cat Groomer to join our team and bring the spa experience right to our clients' doorsteps!

What You'll Do:

• Pamper pets with professional grooming services like baths, brushing, trims, and stylish cuts, all according to breed standards and client preferences.
• Be a gentle giant! Safely handle and restrain furry friends throughout the grooming process, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
• Become a pet detective! Assess pets' coats and skin for any health concerns, and keep owners informed.
• Keep your mobile grooming haven sparkling clean! Maintain a sanitary environment for both pets and equipment.
• Shower each pup with personalized attention. Address specific needs and cater to special requests.
• Empower pet owners! Educate them on proper grooming techniques, coat care, and hygiene practices for their furry companions.
• Be the scheduling whiz! Manage appointments, confirm details with clients, and keep accurate service records.
• Hit the road responsibly! Safely drive and maintain the brand new grooming van, following traffic laws and vehicle guidelines.
• Be a brand ambassador! Uphold professionalism and build strong relationships with clients to keep them coming back for more.
• Stay sharp! Continuously learn and develop your skills to stay on top of industry trends and best practices.

What We're Looking For:

• A minimum of 1 year of experience as a professional dog groomer (proven rockstar status a plus!).
• Certification or training from a reputable grooming school? We love to see it (but not mandatory).
• Deep understanding of various dog and cat breeds, coat types, and their specific grooming needs.
• Top-notch grooming skills: bathing, brushing, clipping, and styling like a pro.
• A gentle touch and the ability to handle animals with care and compassion.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills to build rapport with pet owners.
• A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• The physical strength and agility to handle pets and grooming equipment.
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
