AMR is hiring Float Paramedics to deliver compassionate, high-quality patient care on full-time shifts across Kansas City KS, Pleasanton/Linn County KS, and Cass County/Harrisonville MO. The role offers $57,200–$69,212 yearly, based on experience.

Responsibilities include rapid on-scene assessment, advanced medical interventions, clear patient communication, and on-scene leadership as needed. You will operate as part of the EMS team and drive ambulances on 911 responses.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required.
Kansas and Missouri Paramedic certifications are required.
State Driver’s License is required.
BLS and ACLS are required upon hire.
PALS is preferred but not required.
Driving record must comply with policy.
Pass a Physical Agility Test.
Some healthcare experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assess each call to determine the best action using Paramedic protocols.
Provide advanced medical care using equipment such as defibrillator and IV fluids.
Communicate with patients and families to convey care and information.
Act as Paramedic team leader and manage scene and unit as needed.
Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
Collaborate professionally with allied health and public safety personnel.
