Job summary

OTC Fleet Services is seeking an experienced Mobile Automotive Service Technician to join our USPS fleet services team in Central Pennsylvania. You’ll work from a mobile service vehicle and travel to USPS facilities to inspect, maintain, diagnose, and repair fleet vehicles on-site.

This role rewards independence and proactive field problem-solving, with the backing of an established service team. A mechanical background is required, and the schedule is Monday–Friday, 4:00 AM–1:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Previous professional mechanical experience
• Hands-on automotive/fleet/repair experience
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting ability
• Diagnose vehicle problems and complete repairs independently
• Identify vehicle safety and maintenance concerns
• Manage assigned work and time responsibly
• Dependable attendance and work ethic
• Good communication and customer-service skills
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Safely operate automotive tools and equipment
• Willingness to work 4:00 AM–1:00 PM Mon–Fri
• Mobile service or fleet maintenance experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Travel to USPS facilities in a mobile service vehicle
• Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled fleet services
• Inspect vehicles and identify maintenance, repair, and safety concerns
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
• Complete general automotive repairs at customer locations
• Service brakes, tires, steering, suspension, lighting, batteries and more
• Respond to vehicle breakdowns and road-service needs
• Troubleshoot vehicle concerns and determine repairs
• Document work performed and vehicle status
• Communicate with management about repairs and needs
• Maintain a clean, stocked mobile service vehicle
• Present a professional image at customer facilities
• Follow safety standards and company procedures
