Job summary

Lewis Tree Service is seeking a skilled Mechanic to service and repair Lewis vehicles and heavy equipment. The role focuses on assembly, diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and timely repairs, with an emphasis on safety and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training is a plus.
• Welding and hydraulics experience with vehicles/equipment.
• Ability to read tape measures, diagrams and blueprints.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL and medical certification as required.

Responsibilities

• Mount, assemble and check parts as directed by Shop Supervisor.
• Diagnose vehicle/equipment problems using appropriate tools.
• Perform preventive maintenance per policy and manufacturer recommendations.
• Complete repairs and adjustments to restore operation.
• Test equipment and document results; stay current with specs and procedures.
