Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with automotive tech certificate.
• Associate degree in automotive or diesel technology preferred.
• 5 years mechanic experience with diesel/hydraulic repairs.
• Military vehicle maintenance training acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses, repairs and rebuilds to factory specs: mechanical, electric, hydraulic, and air brake systems.
• Serves a DOT regulated role and operates safely across locations.
• Maintains and repairs fuel, starting and electrical systems; tests and diagnoses issues.
• Diagnoses and repairs brake and traction systems on heavy duty equipment.
• Interprets electrical diagrams and uses diagnostic tools.
• Travels to service centers or job sites as required; adheres to schedules.
• Attends technical trainings to stay current with new technologies.
