Job description

The East Manatee Fire Rescue District is hiring a full-time Mechanic, 40 hours per week. The starting pay is based on qualifications, as shown below.

• Probationary Mechanic – $65,000/year. Must have at least ASE T1 and T2 upon application.
• Mechanic I – $72,000/year. Two years of acceptable experience, obtain or maintain a Florida Class B driver’s license, and successfully complete EVTCC Level I certification.
• Mechanic II – $79,000/year. Four years of acceptable experience, obtain or maintain a Florida Class B driver’s license, and Successfully complete EVTCC Level II certification.
• Mechanic III – $86,000/year. Six years of acceptable experience, obtain or maintain a Florida Class B driver’s license, and successfully complete EVTCC Level III certification.
• Group Health, dental, and vision insurance – Provided to employees at no cost and shared cost for family members
• Florida State Retirement – 3% contribution by the employee and the balance by the employer
