Job summary

Applied Carbon is seeking a Field Technician for our mobile pyrolysis systems in Houston. You will monitor and adjust process parameters, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and perform routine maintenance while traveling 50% of the time.

This outdoor, hands-on role requires strong problem-solving, ability to read technical manuals, and a willingness to work day and night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.
• Ability to work outdoors and travel up to 50%.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Willingness to work day/night shifts and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor critical parameters (temperature, pressure, speeds, feed rates).
• Make real-time adjustments to feed rates to maintain optimal conditions.
• Troubleshoot mechanical/electrical issues and perform maintenance.
• Collect samples and run basic lab tests per protocols.
• Maintain logs and documentation of maintenance and repairs.
• Provide updates via the work management system.
