Job summary

RDO Equipment Co. is seeking a field service technician to travel to customer locations and perform in-field diagnostics and repairs on mechanized equipment.

The role requires strong mechanical skills, tool handling, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers while maintaining safety and professionalism. Compensation includes an hourly wage starting at $39+ per hour, with a up to $5,000 sign-on bonus and opportunities for profit sharing, tools reimbursement, and career development

Qualifications

• In-field diesel equipment diagnostics and repairs experience preferred.
• Diesel technology program graduate preferred.
• U.S. work authorization without sponsorship required.
• Excellent mechanical and tool handling skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-field machinery diagnostics and repairs as required.
• Serve as an in-field representative for the dealership to provide service solutions and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Diagnose, inspect, recondition, repair, assemble, and service equipment as assigned by the supervisor.
• Document machine information and repairs completed on work orders, including parts and fluids used.
• Maintain a clean work area and care for all shop tools, machines, and equipment.
• Identify and communicate solutions for customer service opportunities in the dealership's area of responsibility.
• Maintain technical and product knowledge on all equipment sold within the dealership's area of responsibility.
• Follow safety rules and regulations and company policies as specified in manuals and the employee handbook.
• Present a professional image of RDO Equipment Co. to customers and the community.
• Pursue available training to develop knowledge and skill set.
• Participate in company/location communication efforts and teamwork to ensure excellent customer service.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
