Job summary

Terex is seeking a Mobile Field Service Technician to support our Central Indiana and US service network. You will repair and maintain heavy equipment, perform on-site installations, and ensure customer satisfaction while traveling to client sites.

The role requires safe work practices, welding and mechanical skills, and DOT qualifications. A strong communicator with basic computer abilities will thrive in this dynamic team.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience with heavy machinery or utility equipment in a field service role.
• Demonstrated mechanical and welding skills using hand/power tools; able to perform repairs.
• Must pass MVR, obtain DOT qualifications, and clear pre-employment checks and drug screen.
• 5+ years in a similar field; strong oral and written communication required.
• Basic computer skills and ability to maintain accurate service records.

Responsibilities

• Strictly follow safety protocols and company guidelines.
• Repair and replace components of refuse collection vehicles, heavy machinery, and utility equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections per schedules to maximize reliability.
• Install, configure, and test new equipment at customer sites and ensure satisfaction.
• Travel to customer locations in the Northern Idaho area for on-site service.
• Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs, and parts used.
• Other duties as assigned to support the team.
