Job summary

General Equipment & Supplies, Inc. seeks a Resident Field Diesel Technician to diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy construction equipment at customer sites. Travel may be required with overtime and occasional overnight stays, reporting to the Sioux Falls Branch.

You will perform field repairs and preventive maintenance with minimal supervision, diagnose faults, and ensure accurate documentation of repairs and parts. Strong safety culture and customer-first communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years diagnosing and repairing diesel-powered heavy construction equipment.
• Ability to work independently in a remote field service environment.
• Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform field repairs and preventive maintenance with minimal supervision.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment to OEM specifications.
• Document labor, parts, and repair details in company systems.
