Job summary

JLL is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Mechanic to service institutional facilities across Bloomington, Champaign, and Peoria, IL. The role emphasizes safety, preventive maintenance, and responsive repairs across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma with trade certifications, 3+ years of maintenance experience, and a valid driver's license. On-call duties and long-distance travel may be required; 401(k), health benefits, and paid time off

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required, with relevant trade certifications as required by client scope or local jurisdiction.
• Minimum 3 years of general maintenance experience in commercial or institutional facilities.
• Valid driver’s license with safe driving record and ability to drive company vehicles.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and building systems; HVAC knowledge as required by client scope.
• Proficiency using computerized work order systems (CMMS) and basic tablet or mobile device applications.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor plumbing repairs including leak resolution and fixture maintenance.
• Conduct electrical repairs such as replacing switches, outlets, and fixtures; maintain lighting systems.
• Complete carpentry tasks including door adjustments, hardware installation, and patching; paint as needed.
• HVAC troubleshooting and thermostat adjustments.
• Process work orders in CMMS and meet SLAs.
• Conduct routine facility inspections and preventive maintenance; report issues needing contractor involvement.
• Coordinate daily service routes between facilities for efficiency.
• Maintain company vehicles and ensure safe operation while traveling between sites.
• Perform snow and ice removal and ensure safe building access.
