Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Mobile Facilities Engineer to maintain a premier finance client’s facilities. Monday–Friday day shift with a company vehicle, tools, and uniforms provided from day one.

You will oversee multiple building systems, review work orders, and implement preventive maintenance to ensure reliability and safety. The role requires a strong grasp of codes, safety, and Microsoft Office proficiency.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4–5 years of related experience.
  • Universal CFC certification and valid driver’s license.
  • Meet the physical requirements including lifting 50 lbs+, stooping, standing, walking, stairs/ladders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational skills and inquisitive mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee maintenance and repairs of mechanical, industrial, plumbing, structural, life safety, and control systems.
  • Review work orders, estimate time and materials, and maintain inventory of supplies and tools.
  • Implement preventive maintenance to extend equipment life and handle emergencies as needed.
  • Review inspections of building systems (fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing) for design compliance and environmental targets.
  • Ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and safety policies.
  • Operate company vehicles and apply knowledge to complex assignments.
  • Coach others and model CBRE RI SE values while collaborating with teams.

About the Role

Join our team as a Mobile Facilities Engineer, where you will provide expert maintenance support to a premier finance client. You will play a critical role in ensuring the operational excellence of their facilities, utilizing your technical skills to maintain complex building systems. This position offers a stable, predictable schedule, working Monday through Friday during day shift hours.

What You'll Do
  • Oversee maintenance and repairs to the mechanical, industrial, plumbing, structural, life safety, and control systems for the facility to keep facility and building systems up to applicable standards as assigned.
  • Review assigned work orders, estimate time and materials needed to complete the repair and maintain inventory of adequate supplies and tools.
  • Implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure that building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life; oversee repairs and emergency maintenance as needed.
  • Review inspections of building and industrial systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure the operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by the client.
  • Oversee compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agencies, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
  • Operate company-issued vehicles in the execution of daily work responsibilities.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
  • Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
  • Impact a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams.
  • Work within broad guidelines and policies.
  • Explain difficult or sensitive information.
What You'll Need
  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job‑related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Universal CFC certification and Valid Driver's license required
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
  • Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
