Job summary
Franklin Industries is seeking a Mobile Equipment Technician to inspect, diagnose, maintain, repair and improve our fleet of mobile equipment. The role covers forklifts, loaders, cranes, trucks and more to ensure safe, reliable operation supporting production.
You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance with emphasis on reliability and uptime. Starting pay is competitive, with benefits including PTO, OT, incentive pay, and a 401k with employer match.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Minimum five (5) years of heavy equipment, diesel, material handling equipment, or mobile equipment maintenance experience.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read service manuals, hydraulic schematics, and electrical diagrams.
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and work instructions.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all assigned mobile equipment.

The Mobile Equipment Technician is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, repairing, and improving Franklin Industries' fleet of mobile equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation.This position performs preventative and corrective maintenance on forklifts, loaders, locomotive cranes, side loaders, trucks, bobcats, breakers, and other mobile equipment. The Mobile Equipment Technician diagnoses mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, fuel, steering, suspension, and drive system failures while supporting fleet reliability, minimizing equipment downtime, and ensuring equipment remains available to support production operations.

The physical requirements described below represent those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
The associate must be able to:
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crawl, climb, and work beneath and around heavy mobile equipment throughout the shift.
- Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Safely operate diagnostic equipment, lifting devices, and maintenance tools.
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and indoors in shop environments.
- Perform repairs in confined spaces and elevated work areas.

EXPECTED HOURS - Between 40 and 58 per week
TYPICAL SCHEDULE - varies, depending on which department you're hired into.
- 5/6 AM until 3/4 PM, Monday-Friday
- 5/6 AM until Noon/2PM on Saturdays (when needed)
STARTING PAY - Typically $28.00/hour, commensurate with experience.
