Job summary

Gerdau North America is seeking a Safety-driven Heavy Equipment Operator to efficiently move scrap materials using mobile and magnet cranes. You will support yard operations, load and unload trucks/railcars, and ensure equipment readiness with inspections and preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School Education/GED preferred.
• Desire to develop as a Gerdau employee while promoting core values.

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile and magnet cranes to move scrap efficiently.
• Load and unload trucks and railcars, prepare scrap to spec.
• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Support daily yard operations through safe, cooperative teamwork.
