Job summary

Stella Jones Corporation is seeking a Mobile Equipment Operator 2 to safely stage, transport, load, and unload industrial materials including wood products and hardware. You will operate forklifts (8,000+ lbs) inside and outside the plant and ensure accurate handling of loads while maintaining strict safety standards.

This role supports continuous plant workflow, adheres to PPE and LOTO rules, and offers shift differential for swing and graveyard shifts.

Qualifications

• Prior forklift experience and safe operation of heavy equipment.
• Must follow PPE and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, sort and transport treated and untreated wood products and hardware components.
• Safely operate forklifts with 8,000+ lbs capacity indoors and outdoors.
• Move levers and pedals to drive forklift and control lifting movement.
• Position forks, lifting platform or other lifting device under, over or around loads and transport to designated area.
• Unload and stack material by raising and lowering lifting devices.
• Verify bundles, product size, and count before movement and storage.
• Organize materials by product type and size in the warehouse.
• Assist in maintenance and service of mobile equipment, including inspections, fueling, safety and cleaning.
• Document and report mechanical operation and maintenance requirements of equipment.
• Comply with all safety rules including PPE and LOTO requirements.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
• Shift differential paid for swing shift and graveyard shift.

Mobile Equipment Operator 2 is responsible for safely and efficiently staging, transporting, loading, and unloading industrial materials including treated and untreated wood products and hardware.

This role plays a critical part in maintaining continuous Plant workflow while upholding rigorous safety and environmental standards.

Principal Responsibilities

• Loads, unloads, sorts and transports treated and untreated industrial wood products and hardware components.
• Safely operate forklifts from 8,000+lbs capacity across indoor and outdoor space of the Plant.
• Moves levers and presses pedals to drive forklift and control movement of lifting apparatus.
• Positions forks, lifting platform or other lifting device under, over or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, product or materials and transports load to designated area.
• Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting devices.
• Verify bundles, product size, and product count prior to movement and storage.
• Organize materials by product type and size in the warehouse to maintain an organized storage space.
• Assists in maintenance and service of mobile equipment as required, including inspections, fueling, safety and cleaning as required.
• Documents and reports on mechanical operation and maintenance requirements of equipment.
• Comply with all company safety rules including PPE and LOTO requirements.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
