The Mobile Equipment Operator 1 position is located in Hammond, Louisiana, though travel throughout the FPHSA service area will be required. The service area includes the following five parishes: Livingston, Tangipahoa, St. Helena, St. Tammany, and Washington.This position will be responsible for driving our mobile unit to outreach clinics and other special events, as needed

A valid, unrestricted driver’s license and a clean driving history is required.
No experience or training is required.

Job Duties:

The Mobile Unit (MU) Driver is responsible for driving and maintaining the mobile medical unit and assuring all of its systems, equipment, and supplies are in good working order for use as a mobile medical, behavioral health, and/or outreach unit. The Driver will transport the MU to various locations on schedule as required. The Driver will assist with setup for events including clinics, outreach events, or any other type of event the agency deems necessary. Depending on the event, the driver may be asked to assist with registration and/or intake of individuals or clients and management of the clinic flow. The MU Driver will sweep the MU interior and use disinfecting wipes on cabinet handles, surfaces, and doors each day as well as clean the exterior of the unit and maintain the Dry Flush Toilet as needed.

Position-Specific Details:

This position is for a part-time WAE (When Actually Employed) position only and is not to exceed 1245 hours in a 12-month period.There are no set hours for this position, but most work hours will fall between 7:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. on weekdays. There may be special events during evening hours or on weekends in which the MU Driver may be needed.

Salary may be negotiable depending on the chosen applicant's level of experience. Below is a list of the pay range for the position:
  • Mobile Equipment Operator 1 - $16.06/hour minimum - $28.90/hour maximum

Note regarding the advertised pay range: The maximum amount listed is the maximum salary a person can make while in this title and NOTthe maximum amount we are allowed to pay a new hire.
