Job summary

Sabine River Authority seeks a maintenance worker with at least two years of experience operating mobile equipment in our Louisiana facilities. The role requires hands-on operation of excavators, loaders, bulldozers, and other heavy machinery, plus basic upkeep of equipment.

Appointment type is Probational and work hours are 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Thursday. Compensation will be determined based on qualifications and experience, with opportunities for growth within the agency.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience operating mobile equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile equipment such as excavator, backhoe, front-end loader, bulldozer, motor grader, dump trucks and other listed machinery.
• Assist the mechanic in repair and maintenance of equipment.
• Perform grounds-keeping and general repairs to facilities and equipment.
• Conduct miscellaneous repairs including carpentry when needed.

• Assists the mechanic in repair and maintenance of equipment.

• Performs miscellaneous repairs to include cutting and general carpentry, facilities, and equipment.
