This recruitment may fill vacancies for the positions of Mobile Equipment Operator 1, 2, or 1/Heavy, depending on the experience level of the selected applicants.

Position Details:

• MOBILE EQUIPMENT OPERATOR 1: Minimum hire rate $16.06/hour, with a $1.00/hour premium pay and a 10% pay increase upon permanent status.
• MOBILE EQUIPMENT OPERATOR 2: Minimum hire rate $17.18/hour, with similar premium and pay increase benefits.
• MOBILE EQUIPMENT OPERATOR 1/HEAVY: Minimum hire rate $21.05/hour.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy equipment such as asphalt distributors, backhoes, loaders, cranes, dozers, dump trucks, graders, pavers, lowboys, milling machines, and more.
• Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Assist in tasks like shoveling asphalt, digging footings, traffic control, loading/unloading materials, flagging, and operating tools.
• Attend training and maintain required licenses, including CDL for certain positions.
• Perform incidental repair and construction tasks, including bridge and drainage repairs.
• Help train lower-level operators or laborers.

Additional duties may include emergency/disaster response activities as needed.
