Mobile Equipment Operator
Full-time, Permanent

So, what will you be doing?

In this role, you will be responsible for the operation of a log crane, chipper/debarker, and/or mobile equipment at a wood pellet manufacturing facility. It also includes equipment maintenance and administrative functions to support the Wood Yard operations.

Some of your day-to-day duties include:

  • Operate & maintain equipment including log crane, wheel loaders, knuckleboom, skid steer, and man lift.
  • Cross-train on all applicable heavy equipment operation, as needed.
  • Effectively anticipate and diagnose problems, performing routine or preventive maintenance.
  • Perform routine administrative functions and utilize checklists to maintain inventory and production reports.
  • Perform housekeeping duties as required, keeping designated areas clean and free of safety hazards.

Who are you?

  • Experience in wood/fiber procurement or the forest industry.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years operating industrial equipment.
  • Ability to adapt to working independently or in a team environment.
  • Computer literate, capable of performing basic tasks such as email and reviewing work documentation.
