Job summary

Commercial Metals Company in Jacksonville, FL seeks a production associate to keep the work area clean, operate production equipment, and support safety initiatives. This role supports multiple manufacturing environments within CMC’s recycling centers and fabrication facilities.

You will be part of a team that handles various tasks, maintains equipment, and adheres to safety regulations while contributing to a fast-paced, growth-oriented workplace.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of recycling/manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience operating forklift or similar equipment.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean, orderly work area and equipment; follow safety regulations.
• Operate production equipment per established procedures.
• Participate in CMC safety programs and uphold safety culture.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

What You’ll Do

• Maintains work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows safety regulations
• Operates production equipment in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
• Participates in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively upholds the CMC Safety Culture
• Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor

What You’ll Need

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Able to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with strong multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and organizational skills
• Minimum 1 year experience in either recycling and/or manufacturing environment preferred
• Previous experience operating forklift, skid steer, loader or similar equipment
• Prior knowledge of metal identification is a plus

Your Education

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred
