Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking an experienced mobile equipment mechanic in New York to inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy equipment, perform preventive maintenance on trucks and support vehicles, and troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.

You will maintain maintenance records, communicate equipment status with operations, and uphold safety standards in a demanding outdoor environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mobile equipment to maximize safety, reliability, and performance.
• Perform preventive maintenance on heavy equipment, trucks, and support vehicles.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems to minimize downtime.
• Complete maintenance records and communicate equipment status with operations teams.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area while following all company and regulatory safety standards.

Conditions of Employment

Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.

Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.

Work Environment

Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.

$33.00-39.85 per hour (NYS Prevailing Wage)
