Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking a Mobile Equipment Diagnostics Specialist to join our field service team. You will use real-time data and portable tools to diagnose and repair HVAC/R systems, diesel engines, and heavy equipment at customer sites and in-shop environments.

You’ll create and track service work orders, monitor maintenance intervals, and document all actions. Travel to sites is required, and you will train newer technicians while advancing your own expertise through company OEM training.

Qualifications

• HVAC/HVAC-R service, maintenance, and repair proficiency.
• Heavy equipment repair and field service readiness.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and high-voltage knowledge.
• Familiarity with HACCP concepts.
• Comfort using laptops/tablets in the field.

Responsibilities

• Create, assign, and track work orders digitally; monitor machine service intervals; and order parts using laptops/tablets.
• Deploy to customer sites to perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution gear, HVAC equipment, and oil‑free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot and fix equipment issues in the shop and in the field.
• Independently or with peers, set up and operate equipment for shop and on‑site work.
• Follow safe repair practices at all times; OSHA knowledge is preferred.
• Document all work in a timely, complete manner every day.
• Assist with equipment and parts pickup/delivery when needed.
• Share your knowledge by helping train less experienced technicians.
• Advance your expertise with year‑round, company‑provided OEM training.
• Support other tasks as assigned to meet customer needs.
