Job summary

Limestone County Board of Education seeks an ITINERANT EL Instructional Assistant to support English language learners, assist teachers, and reinforce classroom instruction. The role involves implementing instructional guidelines, working with students individually or in groups, and using technology to manage data and reports.

The position requires an Associates degree (preferred) and experience with EL students, along with strong communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred; two years of higher education or Work Keys test required.
• Experience working with EL students strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication with students, parents, and others.

Responsibilities

• Assists with instruction and facilitates learning opportunities for K-12 English language learners.
• Provides instruction to students as prescribed by EL Resource Teacher and reinforces classroom skills.
• Maintains confidentiality and submits reports and correspondence in a timely manner.
