Job summary

Alarm.com's PointCentral team is seeking a Software Engineer II to build a mobile app that enhances resident experiences in rental communities. You will work with a small, cross‑functional team of developers, product managers, and business partners to design and implement features across iOS and Android using React Native.

You should have 2–4 years of mobile/web development experience, strong debugging skills, and familiarity with RESTful APIs, Git, and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• 2–4 years of professional mobile/web development experience.
• Proficient in testing and debugging tools.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and JSON parsing.
• Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mobile applications using React Native for iOS and Android.
• Participate in the full project lifecycle from requirements to deployment.
• Collaborate with React web developers to ensure cross‑platform consistency.
• Contribute ideas and build robust solutions beyond a strict spec.
• Engage in cross‑functional collaboration with Product Management and Business teams.
