Job summary

Vanguard is seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to build and scale native mobile experiences for Financial Advisor Services. You will design, develop, and deploy cross‑platform applications using React Native, AWS, and serverless architectures to deliver secure, high‑performing solutions for thousands of clients and advisors globally.

You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver intuitive experiences while adhering to security and architectural standards.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of related work experience, with at least two years in software development.
• Undergraduate degree in CS, Engineering, or a related field; graduate degree preferred.
• Proven experience designing and developing cross‑platform applications using React Native.
• Strong cloud-native development experience with AWS and serverless technologies.
• Proficient in JavaScript and TypeScript with maintainable, type-safe code.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of eight years of related work experience, including at least two years dedicated to software development. Proven experience in designing and developing cross-platform applications using React Native is essential, along with a strong understanding of cloud-native application development with AWS and serverless technologies. Candidates should have experience integrating native iOS capabilities, Apple frameworks, and third-party SDKs within React Native applications. Advanced proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript is necessary, with a demonstrated ability to build maintainable, type-safe codebases. Strong knowledge of design patterns, data modeling principles, and integration practices is crucial. Excellent communication skills and a track record of delivering large, cross-team projects are also required. Familiarity with Mobile/Web development frameworks and micro-service architecture further enhances a candidate’s suitability.
