Job summary

Hendrickson Fire Rescue is seeking an experienced Mobile Emergency Vehicle Diesel Technician to service and repair fire apparatus, ambulances, and rescue vehicles at customer sites across Upstate New York, Vermont, and New Hampshire. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of diesel experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently in the field.

• 2+ years of diesel repair experience required.
• Experience diagnosing diesel engines and vehicle systems.
• Ability to work independently in the field and travel to customer locations.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with professionalism in customer interactions.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on emergency vehicles and specialty equipment.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, air brake systems, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and related components.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
• Work at customer locations throughout Upstate New York, Vermont, and New Hampshire.
• Maintain accurate service and repair documentation.
