Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking a Mobile Technician to service facilities in the Washington DC area, focusing on door systems and related equipment.

You will conduct preventive maintenance, install and repair door infrastructure, troubleshoot, and coordinate with site teams while adhering to safety standards. The role requires a valid driver's license and the ability to lift heavy loads, with on-site work across healthcare facilities.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and climb stairs/ladders.

Responsibilities

  • Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed building systems, equipment, and facilities.
  • Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
  • Review assigned work orders and estimate the time and materials needed to complete repairs; manage and track completion.
  • Support energy management by ensuring systems operate efficiently.
  • Inspect new or existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Communicate with clients, co-workers and supervisors to exchange information.
  • Follow defined procedures to solve straightforward problems under supervision.

About The Role
  • As a CBRE Mobile Technician, you will perform repairs and tend to several buildings, industrial systems, equipment, and ground requests.
  • This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
  • Responsible for overall maintenance, repairs and installation of automatic and manual doors.
  • CBRE is seeking a Mobile Technician -Door Technician to support various sites within our Healthcare sector, encompassing hospitals and clinics in the Washington DC area.
  • You will troubleshoot, repair and replace motorized automatic entrance doors and door openers inside our patient facilities.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Need
  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
  • Basic math skills. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Mobile Technician position is $20.00 per hour and the maximum salary for the Mobile Technician position is $30.00 per hour. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
